Infinity Stand Up Paddle

TL, Team Label - 7'11"

infinity

Design Notes

Carver TL: The "TL" Team Label was designed and approved by our Infinity team.

Dave Boehne, Slater Trout, CD Kinley, Jason Kenworthy and Anthony Vela have tested this board worldwide in every and all conditions. This is our staple performance SUP surf board.

Different from the original carver, this one has a narrower outline and even thinner foil. We still maintain the flat "speed" section between the feet for drive and blend in to Vee positioned in the sweet spot of the rocker. Match that with the fin placement and curvey rocker, it makes up a very fast, and responsive SUP under your feet. 5 fin option comes standard for even more versatility. The team prefers this board set up as a quad.

CARVER - 9'4"

infinity

Design Notes

The Carver is a performance board made for bigger guys who are experienced SUP surfers looking to "step down" in size/length and step up their performance.

We thin the foil overall to maintain a thin nose and tail. The outline enables both nose riding and performance off the tail. This performance outline is fuller than the CarverTL for stability.

The bottom has a flat "speed" section between the feet which rolls into Vee positioned in the sweet spot of the rocker which gives the Carver it's magic ride.

Slater Trout - 9'0"

Design Notes

This board has more of a traditional performance longboard shape with a flatter, fuller nose allowing for great stability walking the board and nose riding. The back half of the board is similar to the CarverTL with a nice flip in the exit rocker for turning. This board has a very thin nose and tail making it much different from your ordinary long board shape.

Wide Aquatic - 10'4"

infinity

Design Notes

The "Wide Aquatic" is max volume engineered with max peformance for the talented larger surfer. Master shaper and SUP designer Steve Boehne excels in designing performance boards for the larger 220lbs+ surfer. Timeless design theory and characteristics come together in one board for the "big dogs". Catch waves with ease, turn on a dime and enjoy the life aquatic! The big size also doubles as a fun cruiser board for the family on flat water.

Cutthroat - 12'6"

infinity

Design Notes

The "Cutthroat Trout" is Slater Trout's signature 12'6" racer. Named after the Cutthroat Trout fish, this board is Battle tested and approved by the manchild himself. This board shares most of the characteristics from the "Whiplash" only scaled down. This racer is a great choice for the medium to larger paddlers. Easy to paddle and ready to conquer the elements.

Whiplash - 14'

infinity

Design Notes

The "Whiplash 14" is Slater Trout's signature 14' board and the latest evolution in Steve Boehne's race designs. Slater Trout took 2nd Place 2011 WPA World Championship on this design. The bottom rocker is a blended curve with the biggest "bend" under the riders stance. Flat bottom with a 3/8" of roll out to the rails. The flat bottom rolls softly into a vee exit providing excellent release off the tail block in the flats and aides in riding swell while riding back off the tail. The rails are upright with soft edges providing a "slippery" release. They blend to a harder edge in the rear of the hull.

INFINITY STAND UP PADDLEboards

Infinity was founded in 1970, by the legendary craftsman and 2010 SUP Connect "Shaper of the Year" finalist Steve Boehne. Infinity is known for their performance Surf SUP's and progressive race designs. Dave Boehne notes, "Our Boardworks range is going to cater to the progressive, experienced SUP surfer…guys and girls that have been surfing SUP's for a while now and are looking to push themselves to the next level. I believe they will fit nicely in the Boardworks offering and translate into their TEC technology perfectly."

Shaper Profiles

Shaper: Steve Boehne. Designer: Dave Boehne.

Steve Boehne. Boehne started Infinity Surfboards in 1970. The first 20 years he personally shaped over 500 boards per year. Boehne still personally shapes 400+ boards per year beside 5 additional Infinity shapers.

Steve and Barrie Boehne were tandem surfing stars for over 30 years. They won more contests than any other tandem team in history. Their wins include 6 Makaha International Titles, 8 Biarritz-European Championships, and 2 ASP World Titles. Boehne's tandem board shapes are prized the world over. Surfing, as well as foam dust are in Boehne's blood.

He has a comprehensive understanding of surfboard design learned from his many years of riding and shaping such a wide variety of boards. He rides and makes everything from Stand Up Paddle boards, shortboards, longboards, tandem boards, guns, kneeboards, sailboards, paddleboards, wakeboards, to wave ski's.

Steve is truly one of the finest surfboard craftsmen of our time.

Dave Boehne. Steve taught Dave how to use a planer and hand shape boards from scratch. Dave has always been a fan of riding ALL types of surfboards from performance thrusters, twinnies, logs, singlefins and SUP's searching for the next "feel".

From the mid 1990′s to the early 2000′s Dave surfed and competed on the WQS tour both in shortboard and longboard divisions. Dave placed 1st in a handful of PLA Events (Professional Longboard Association) on his own shapes (at that time a twin fin longboard design which is an infinity staple called the "cluster") and reached the semi-finals in the US Open of Longboarding. Dave has competed in many SUP events including the Stand Up World Tour event at Huntington ripping through the trials finishing strong in the main event.

Dave started working for some of the industry's biggest companies like …Lost, etnies, OAM and Ezekiel managing the worlds best surfers like Jamie O'brien, the Malloys, Chris Ward, Taylor Knox, Benji Weatherley to name a few as a Surf Marketing Manager. This experience gave Dave the opportunity to travel the world and try different shapes in all types of waves with some of the worlds best surfers.
